Hello and welcome to my Rover Web Site. I wanted to put this site together to document the changes, modifications, journeys as well as restoration of my LHD 1960 Series II Land Rover. This Rover was purchased out of the Arizona desert due to the lack of rust on the bulkhead and frame. The body seemed to have touched every rock in the Arizona desert. The truck was nicknamed Lumpy when I bought her due to her not having a straight body panel left.

The body on Lumpy was beyond repair so I stared a search for used body panels or possibly a donor vehicle to swap a straight body from. In Nederland Colorado I was able to find a Land Rover which suffered a blown engine, but had a pretty straight body for the right price. This Land Rover did not have a top on her and there was a chance she could take most of my money. Her name was an obvious choice, the Stripper.

Well fast forward to September of 2004, with the help of some friends we have swapped the majority of the body panels from the Stripper. Once this was completed we decided it would be hard to continue to call the old girl Lumpy. Since we were taking the best of both vehicles I decided to do the same to her name. Thus Stumpy was born.
Stumpy

Well a lot more has taken place since we swapped the bodies out. I got a wild hair and decided to try my hand at painting the beast. I went with Sandglow as I really liked that color, so here we have "Camel Stumpy"
